Hei or Terve when greeting.
Usually used. Then there are people who prefer greeting like "Good morning" or "Good afternoon" etc.
Näkemiin or Hei Hei when saying goodbye.

Terve can also mean healthy, well etc. when asked about condition.
I guess that's basically you wishing health for the other person when greeting/saying good bye.
