History of Isiah Zombie's Forum
Hello, this is Isiah Zombie, President of the forum. What you are about to read is the history of this forum. Many users pass through this site and do not make a significant impact, but for those who stay and become part of the community, they are rewarded with recognition and appreciation. So here it is: the history of the forum.
2005: Trivia Time
Creation of forum: April 28, 2005, 6:52 p.m.
Isiah Zombie created a forum game called "Resident Evil 4 Trivia Time" that relied on both the knowledge of RE4 and the ability to execute speedy posts. It was popular on another gaming site. The winners from that site were entered onto this forum's "Hall of Fame," which still remains today. The game attracted many new users around July 10, 2005.
The members quickly started to form groups of unofficial tiers:

The site quickly identified Rex as the forum troll, who was constantly made fun of. Caboose and BigBoss began a pirate legion. This was a time of prosperity for the forum. From May 17, 2005, to December 31, 2005, the forum received 52,578 page views.
Over the years, the page views have dramatically reduced. Figure 1 shows the decline. These are actual statistics which have been recording since May 17, 2005:
Figure 1: The year of 2005 was a dominate year, taking into consideration that it did not even include any traffic from earlier in the year (traffic began to record in May). Since then, no other year has been able to repeat the page views of the "Trivia Time" era.
Here are some notable forum statistics from this era: The most traffic on the site for one day was August 19, 2005, with 1,024 page views. The most traffic in one month was August 2005, with 14,470 page views.
In December 2005, new members Monkeysarefunny and Admiral Donutz joined. They would later be the two members who would continue to be active once the initial spark of "Trivia Time" had subsided.
2006: Tranquility
By the beginning of 2006, many of the core members had become much less active or have even abandoned the site. Members such as Caboose, Mdiddy, Roll and Zane would not post at all after this point. This era was predominantly owned by BigBoss, Monkeysarefunny, The Heartless, Steven and Isiah Zombie.
Around this time, there really wasn't a mission to the forum. Trivia Time had come to a close and most of the pirate jargon became overused and tiresome. Still, it was a time of peacefulness and bliss.
Oddly enough, even though Admiral Donutz joined the site at the end of 2005, he would remain inactive for an entire year before becoming active around December of 2006.
2007: The Zombie Guy Show
The year of 2007 had more traffic than 2006, but for the first half of the year, it was still mostly the "Tranquility" era. It wasn't until the combination of two factors that the site transformed into the modern forum that it is today:
1. The Zombie Guy Show
This sit-com was written by Isiah Zombie and included members of this forum as the characters for the show. The creation of this online sit-com had many effects. For one, it created a sense of expectation every week because a new episode would be posted on Saturdays. This gave members the incentive to hang around and see how they would be portrayed in the next episode. It also served as the forum's unofficial encyclopedia; things that were said around the forum would be placed into episodes and the other way around. The life of the site breathed through The Zombie Guy Show for some time.
The Zombie Guy Show, the forum's exclusive online sit-com, was instrumental in transforming the forum into its current incarnation.
2. w00tdude
When w00tdude joined, he was merely seen as a "Rex Lite": an annoying member who would constantly be picked on. Although many would argue that he is the same as when he first joined, w00tdude takes on the role of the "Jester." This jester role is instrumental in keeping a forum fresh and alive. With Rex's role taken by w00tdude, a new era had been reached.
2008: Bright Expectations
The Zombie Guy Show continued to go strong throughout all of 2008. And with the addition of w00tdude becoming a regular member, it looked as if the forum had a bright future ahead. A new member, Goddard, who joined on June 13, 2008, would take place as the "Second Jester." Having the two jesters along with core members Isiah Zombie, Monkeysarefunny, Admiral Donutz and BigBoss, this era could only be described as "Bright Expectations."
2009: Mr. G
As quickly as good things come along, they quickly go away. Goddard's activity was short-lived, BigBoss became more and more obscure, and The Zombie Guy Show was becoming less and less talked about. In January of 2009, the total page views for a month was under 1,000, at only 894 views. The last time the page views were below 1,000 was just before The Zombie Guy Show started in late 2007. That was what started the string of high traffic months.
Luckily, along came the new user Mr. G who brought as much traffic as w00tdude did, although it didn't last for too long. In the height of the "Mr. G" era, which was in August 2009, the page views exceeded 2,800. They have not been that high since The Zombie Guy Show started.
Since August 2009, the page views have been declining at a steady pace. Mr. G left the forum on a hiatus beginning in December of 2009.
2010-2012: Gloom
The year of 2010 has had the worst traffic ever for the forum. The lowest page views in 2010 was in June, with only 105 views. That was the lowest amount of page views in a month since the forum's creation. There wasn't much going on in these years, which is why this era was labeled "Gloom."
2013: v.5 Upgrade
In January 2013, the forum got upgraded to proboards version 5. This changed the aesthetic look of the site, modernizing it and making it easier to navigate. With this, there was also a reduction and merging of boards to rid of all the clutter of the site (nothing was deleted, just topics were moved around). Also Donutz finally was promoted to Vice President, the forum's first.
Here is a notable statistic from this era: The most users online in one day was 146 (Feb 19, 2013 at 10:13am).
2015: 10YA
10YA (10 Year Anniversary) is the beginning of a new era. It begins April 28, 2015.
